Automated Filling Cell
Succes stories | 2026-01-15

Context
The input of the client’s fillr products is currently done manually on an older generation of equipment whose useful life has not yet been reached. The manual work is repetitive and causes health and safety issues, in addition to requiring the continuous presence of operators.Mandate
As part of this project, PCI was mandated to design a first iteration of a robotic cell capable of performing filling activities.
An initial pre-engineering mandate was carried out to identify needs and potential solutions. The purpose of the current project was design, manufacturing and commissioning of the first iteration of the robotic cell.
Task performed
o Needs analysis and solution research
o Design of the robotic cell layout
o Selection of main components (robot, camera, safety controller, etc.)
o Design of the robot tool
o Design of the product chute
o Machine safety design
o Electrical design
o Programming and software integration (Robot, Controller, HMI)
o Assembly of the cell in PCI’s workshop
o Preliminary tests and FAT
o Supervision of work and client installation
