On this International Women in Engineering Day, we are proud to share an article in collaboration with les Ingénieuses de l'ÉTS, written by Andree-Maude Degrace, ing., Technical Expert and Project Coordinator at PCI Industrial Automation.

In this project, our team supported a client in the complete modernization of a Prasmatic MSW450/CW machine, where several components had become obsolete or discontinued. The project involved upgrading critical elements, including safety systems, variable frequency drives, and servo motors, while restructuring highly customized legacy code to ensure compliance with current standards.

In this project, our team had the opportunity to support one of our clients in the integration of a brand new production line. In just 16 weeks, we coordinated the integration of various equipment, completed the electrical installation, and connected the entire line to the MES and SAP systems.

Part of our team will be attending MODEX 2026, taking place April 13–16 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Our MES & Industrial IT Head of Division, Myriane Lacasse, will host a webinar in collaboration with the Mouvement québécois de la qualité on February 11 at 12:00 PM. This webinar will allow Myriane to highlight the benefits that implementing an MES system can have on a company’s performance.

In this project, our team designed, programmed, and commissioned an automated robotic filling cell, delivering a high-performance, safe, and tailored solution for our client.
