Junior SCADA Designer-programmer
Summary
The junior SCADA designer-programmer programs industrial control systems. Depending on their experience, they may be involved in designing logic, project documentation and training plans for the client.
Roles and responsibilities
The junior SCADA designer-programmer has the following responsibilities:
• Programming SCADA software (GE suite, Wonderware, Ignition, Factorytalk, etc.) ;
• Testing programmes before deployment at the client's site;
• Deploying the solution at the client's site;
• Training operators or technicians;
• Writing technical documentation;
• Managing servers;
• Providing post-deployment operational support;
•Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in automated production engineering or electrical engineering;
•Excellent knowledge of French and English.
Specific requirements
The position requires the following:
•Experience in the manufacturing sector;
•Knowledge of systems used in the manufacturing field - an asset;
•Knowledge of a software development method (Agile) - an asset;
•A driving licence, a car and a valid passport;
*The future employee must be adaptable with regard to travel, whether in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada or internationally.
