Succes stories | 2026-03-03

Context
Our client aimed to modernize the safety systems of their automated industrial packaging machine (Pasmatic MSW 450/CW), as well as its variable frequency drives and servo motors, some of which had become obsolete or discontinued.Mandate
The project involved modernizing key machine components, including the replacement of 9 MSR (Minotaur) safety relays with GSR (Guard Safety Relays), upgrading 3 PF 40 drives to PF 525, and replacing 4 Kinetix 6000 servo motors with Kinetix 5700.
The existing code, which was highly customized and not aligned with standard programming practices, also required adaptation and restructuring.
Task performed
o Ensure project follow-up and coordination with the client
o Supervise the electrical contractor’s activities to ensure the quality of installations
o Implement the machine safety protocol
o Prepare the validation report to ensure system compliance and reliability
o Develop network and electrical plans, including the conversion of MSR safety relays to more recent GSR relays that meet current standards
o Perform PLC / HMI programming and integration for the control of the modernized machine
o Carry out the programming of collaborative servo motors
Tools and methods used
o Electrical : AutoCAD
o PLC Allen-Bradlet : Studio 5000
