MES Designer-programmer
Summary
The MES designer-programmer is responsible for programming business logic into MES software according to the client's and project manager's guidelines. Depending on their experience, they may participate in the design of logic, project documentation and training plans for the client.
Roles and responsibilities
The MES designer-programmer has the following responsibilities:
• Participating in the development of business logic;
• Programming MES software (GE suite, Wonderware, etc.) and experience in SQL, CSharp, Workflow, etc. programming languages;• Integrating with other systems using various middleware (ERP, WES, AGV);
• Testing programmes before deployment at the client's site;
• Deploying the solution at the customer's site;
• Training operators or technicians;
• Writing technical documentation;
• Managing servers;
• Providing post-deployment operational support;
• Performing all other related tasks related to this description.
Qualifications
The position requires the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in automated production engineering or software engineering
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of expertise
The position requires the following:
• Experience in the manufacturing sector;
• Knowledge of systems used in the manufacturing industry - an asset;
• Knowledge of a software development method (Agile) - an asset;
• A driving licence, a car and a valid passport;
*The future employee must be adaptable with regard to travel, whether in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada or internationally.
