Tenders Coordinator

Summary

The primary mandate of the Tenders Coordinator is to analyze tender documents with a view to establishing technical solutions and estimates that will lead to the drafting of service offers. These service offers may be drafted by the Tenders Coordinator or by a third party. During the analysis process, the Tenders Coordinator will have to consult regularly with colleagues to confirm his assumptions and estimates. The Tenders Coordinator must maintain the evaluation process at an optimal level through feedback with the project teams. The expertise of the Tenders Office Coordinator will act as an estimation resource for all areas of expertise and services offered by PCI.

Responsability 

The Tenders Coordinator is responsible for:

Estimate (70%)

  • Receives tender documents and analyzes customer requests and specification With the account manager, applies the BANT+ sales filter
  • When necessary, makes visits to the customer's 
  • Determines required deliverables
  • Determines a high-level timeline
  • Determines the extent of skills required to carry out the project
  • Develops and documents the envisaged technical solution
  • Collaborates with technical experts to establish solution hypotheses
  • Prepares cost estimates for the preparation of tenders (hours and materials)
  • Generates the list of required hardware and ensures that current prices are obtained from suppliers
  • Completes the estimate file according to the scales and specifications established for the projects. 

Writing service offers (20%)

  • Makes sure to group the required documents (certificates, project sheets, CVs, slips)
  • Drafts service offers, under the supervision of the account manager
  • Assists the account manager during the presentation of the offer
  • Participates in early project meetings to ensure a good understanding of the mandate 

Internal coordination (10%)

  • Contributes to business development by staying informed of opportunities available on public platforms such as SEAO and MERX
  • Ensures feedback with project teams to keep estimate scales up to date.
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of estimation tools and templates
  • Participates in process and standard improvement committees
  • Organize feedback meetings with project team

Qualifications

The position requires the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience and extensive knowledge of automation
  • Knowledge of tenders and engineering processes
  • Member of the Order of Engineers
  • Excellent knowledge of the French and English language
